Small Engine Repair

CourseGraphic Small engine repair training can be used for personal use or for profit. Students learn to identify the parts of two-cycle and four-cycle engines, determine engine performance, troubleshoot and repair small engines found in lawn equipment, motor boats and garden equipment and perform preventive maintenance. Each student needs to provide their own tools that include, but may not be limited to:
Wrenches, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers and a ball peen hammer. A complete list of tools will be discussed the first night of class. Each student may be asked to provide a used engine needing work for class demonstrations.
Students need to wear closed toed shoes and old clothes or shop clothes for class. Enrollment is limited so register early.
