Fee: $1999
Program training is five weeks
Students can complete the skill set with as few as five courses or they can continue to obtain a certificate degree.

Introduction to Welding - June 2-6, 2025// 8:00am - 3:30pm
Training Topics:
• Define common welding applications
• Demonstrate safe practices and identify common dangers in welding
applications
• Identify and describe Personal Protective Equipment related to the welding trade
• Identify, and define the function of common components (tools), found in a
Welding environment
• Understanding welding symbols and prints
• Understand basic metallurgy and defects
• Demonstrate proper welding techniques for Arc and MIG welding
Welding II - June 9-13, 2025// 8:00am - 3:30pm
Training Topics:
- More advanced welding topics
- Operation of AV and DC power sources
- Weld heat
- Polarities and electrodes for use in joining various alloys
- Weld analysis and an AWS welding certification simulation
Advanced Welding - June 16-20, 2025// 8:00am - 3:30pm
- Students hone in on prior skills, practicing advanced welding techniques while managing specific projects.
Fabrication - June 23-27, 2025// 8:00am - 3:30pm
Training Topics:
- Basics of metal fabrication safety
- Measuring
- Hand tools
- Layout
- Developing proficiency in fabrication
Welding Certification Prep - June 30-July 3, 2025// 8:00am - 3:30pm
Training Topics include:
- Preparation for various AWS (American Welding Society) certifications
- Information on how to obtain the certification
There will be NO Class July 4, 2025.
With these skills, students can obtain employment as a:
- Entry level welder/apprentice
8:00am – 3:30pm (one hour for lunch) 7 hours per day – 35 hour classes. There will be NO Class July 4, 2025.
* Funding may be available to qualified WV Residents.
