10 week Intensive training – Advanced Manufacturing Technician
8:00am – 3:30pm (one hour for lunch) 7 hours per day – 35 hour per class.
Introduction to Welding- March 4-13, 2024// MWF 8AM - 3:30PM
This course defines common welding applications and functions of common components (tools) of welding. It demonstrates safe practices and identifies common dangers in welding applications, including information about Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) related to welding. Training covers welding symbols and prints, basic metallurgy and defects, and proper welding techniques for ARC and MIG welding.
Basic Industrial Mechanics- March 18-27, 2024// MWF 8AM - 3:30PM
Basic Industrial Mechanics teaches students how to communicate with industry professionals using correct technology, and follow industry standards related to components and mechanical systems. This course teaches students how to select and use proper hand tools and fasteners. Students also learn to identify, install, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components and diagnose potential failure modes and suggest improvements.
Robotics for Automation - April 1-10, 2024// MFW 8AM - 3:30PM
Robotics for Automation teaches robotic safety, systems, tool center points, program and program flow. Operation include setting clocks, timers and editing.
Basic PLC Programming - April 15-24, 2024// MWF 8AM - 3:30PM
This course prepares students to install, maintain, and program
Programmable Logic Controllers. Students learn about Allen-Bradley
and Seimens PLC systems.
Basic Skills for Manufacturing - April 29-May 8, 2024// MWF 8AM - 3:30PM
This course teaches students the basics of electrical safety and how to use a
multimeter and read and interpret electrical schematics. Students will also take
Forklift Training and OSHA Certification. Students will spend the last day
preparing for recruitment and Resume writing.
