Recovery Coach Academy invites you to embark on a journey of
empowerment and inspiration as a Recovery Coach. This intensive
4-day training dives deep into both the process and content needed
to become an effective Recovery Coach. Learn to help people recover
from trauma, mental illness, and addiction.

As a Recovery Coach, you’ll be more than just a coach; you’ll be
a catalyst for change. Our program is built on the principles of
resilience, strength-based approaches, and trauma-informed care.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
• Build Healthy Relationships: Develop and nurture connections
that foster growth and healing.
• Inspire Change: Use motivational interviewing to ignite the
belief in one’s ability to overcome and thrive.
• Advocate and Empower: Stand alongside your coaches as
they discover their resources, set meaningful goals, and
achieve success
Main Course Topics:
• Comprehensive Skill Building: Gain the necessary tools to
guide, mentor, and support individuals seeking to overcome
addiction or navigate significant life changes.
• Real-World Application: Learn practical strategies to remove
barriers to recovery and provide unwavering support as a
personal guide
• Leadership Development: Enhance your leadership skills to
inspire and lead others on their journey to long-term recovery.
Pathway to Advanced Training:
Completion of the Recovery Coach is a prerequisite for the Advanced
Recovery Coach Professional Academy (not a degree certificate).
The following will be issued by Blue Ridge CTC upon completion:
• 2 Workforce college credits
• 1 additional credit upon completion of an internship
The following will be issued by GRaCE upon completion:
• Recovery Coach certificate
• Life Coach certificate
• Naloxone training certificate
• Inclusion in a large, supportive network
