8:00am – 3:30pm; 7 hours per day – 35 hour per class.
7/6-7/10 Intro to Mechatronics Alberto Torres
Basic Industrial Mechanics teaches students how to communicate with industry professionals using correct technology, and follow industry standards related to components and mechanical systems. This course teaches students how to select and use proper hand tools and fasteners. Students also learn to identify, install, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components and diagnose potential failure modes and suggest improvements.
7/13-7/14 OSHA 10 Robert Hopkin
Industry standard for industrial safety awareness. Covers essential hazard identification, reduction, and reporting practices in the general industry setting.
7/15-7/17 Basic Electrical Patricia Irwin
This course teaches students the basics of electrical safety and how to use a multimeter and read and interpret electrical schematics. The instructor also demonstrates the use of Ohms Law and the understanding of basic electrical components.
7/20-7/24 Industrial Controls/Troubleshooting Michael Allenbaugh
Industrial Controls introduces the students to the basics of AC motor applications and control. This course teaches electric relay control of AC electric motors found in various applications. Systematic troubleshooting will provide the students with a systematic process, utilizing critical thinking skills to diagnose, analyze, and solve complex problems. Several problem-solving models will be presented. Students will work through case studies to develop their problem-solving skills.
7/27-7/31 Intro to PLC’s Jules Libby
This course prepares students to install, maintain, and program Programmable Logic Controllers. Students learn about Allen-Bradley and Seimens PLC systems.
8/3-8/7 Robotics Robert Hopkin
Robotics for Automation teaches robotic safety, systems, tool center points, program and program flow. Operations include setting clocks, timers, and editing.
