CourseGraphic Achieve Excellence with a Skill Set Certificate:

Upon successful completion of both the Recovery Coach Academy
and the Advanced Recovery Coach training, you’ll earn
a prestigious Skill Set Certificate** endorsed by Greater Recovery
and Community Empowerment (GRaCE) and Blue Ridge CTC. This
endorsement signifies not only your commitment to excellence but
also elevates the standards for recovery coaching.

Master the necessary skills of recovery coaching:
  • Active Listening: Engage deeply with your coaches, understanding their unique challenges and strengths
  • Motivational Interviewing: Ask insightful questions that inspire change and growth
  • Bias Management: Approach each individual without prejudice, treating everyone as a valuable resource
  • Ethics in Coaching: Understand the importance of and apply the process of making ethical decisions as a coach in theory and practice.
  • Professionalism:  demonstrate professionalism in different roles of and its impact on Coaching.

Coursework Includes:
  • 20 hours of Ethics
  • 10 hours of Professionalism
  • 5 hours Crisis Coaching
  • 5 hours Judicial Coaching
  • + 55 Clinical/Field work hours required

The following will be issued by Blue Ridge CTC upon completion:
• 3 Workforce college credits
• 1 additional credit upon completion of an internship

Blue Ridge CTC is proud to partner with GRaCE. GRaCE is an
approved provider with the West Virginia Certification Board for
Addiction & Prevention Professionals (WVCBAPP): GRaCE Provider
Number AP 23-103 (for PRSS). (CEUs provided by GRaCE)
