Short Description: The Human Resources Management program prepares learners for impactful, people?centered careers that support organizational success. This program builds a strong foundation in core HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, compliance, and workplace culture, equipping learners with the skills needed to contribute strategically across industries. Designed for both aspiring and early?career HR professionals, the program also prepares learners for the Associate Professional in Human Resources™ (aPHR™) certification.
Instructor Description: Though this program is a self-paced program it is supported by an educational mentor. Educational mentors are subject matter experts who have years of experience in their field as well as the necessary educational training and credentials to work as an expert. The mentor is available to answer any questions a learner may have including questions on course content, course material, certifications, and even industry questions. Mentors also monitor the progress of learners to ensure training retention and program advancement. In eLearning, motivation is a key tool to success. Because of this, mentors provide encouraging comments, feedback, and coaching to motivate learners throughout the duration of the program to support completion and success!
Certification: This program includes a laptop and A Guide to the Human Resource Body of Knowledge (HRBoK) to support certification preparation. Learners are prepared to pursue the Associate Professional in Human Resources™ (aPHR™) certification from HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®), the leading entry?level credential for aspiring HR professionals.
The aPHR™ certification requires a high school diploma or global equivalent and no prior HR experience, making it ideal for those beginning an HR career. The credential is valid for three years. To maintain certification, holders must earn 45 recertification credits within three years or retake the exam.
Many professional enrichment courses offer aPHR™ recertification credits. Learners may review the course catalog or contact the advising team for eligible options.
