The Pharmacy Technician certification allows students to execute key workforce skills required in retail pharmacies, mail-order pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics. The program is designed to teach foundational skills through hands-on training to qualify to potentially sit for the PTCB exam.
What You Will Learn - Curriculum Overview
With the Pharmacy Technician certification training program, students get hands-on instruction from highly trained faculty. The Pharmacy Technician certification allows students to:
- Learn various medical terminology specific to pharmaceuticals.
- Read and interpret prescriptions and define drugs by generic and brand names.
- Retrieve drugs in the correct strength and dosage, prepare medications and dispense them to patients.
- Learn and demonstrate professional skills to work under a registered pharmacist.

Tuition: $1,199 (Cost includes textbooks)
*This program is approved for Financial Aid through the HEAPS Workforce Grant. A current FAFSA and HEAPS Workforce Grant application required to determine eligibility.
