A study of the operation, installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of gas, oil, and electric heating systems. Topics include installation and service procedures, tools, equipment, systems, fuels, and principles of combustion. PREREQUISITE(S):Basic HVAC and Refrigerate Recovery Technician  or consent of department. 

Course Outcomes:

Upon course completion, a student will be able to:

?Identify various heating system types.

?Describe various fuels used for heating.

?Describe basic combustion theory.

?Describe installation procedures for a typical residential heating system.

?Identify various heating system tools.
