The Recovery to Work Employer Leadership Academy is a comprehensive 4-hour course designed to equip employers with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to support employees in recovery.

The Recovery to Work Employer Leadership Academy aims to empower employers to make a positive impact on the well-being and success of their employees and contribute to a more compassionate and understanding work environment.

What You Will Learn
  • understanding addiction, and how recovery-friendly workplaces improve employee Retention and workforce stability;
  • addressing the impact of bias and stigma on employees in recovery;
  • learning the best practices for creating a recovery-friendly workplace culture;
  • developing effective communication strategies with employees in recovery and offering them the necessary support;
  • implementing supportive policies to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

ARC Grant Funded Program 
This Employer Leadership Academy is supported through an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Grant. Eligible West Virginia employers may qualify to attend at reduced or no cost. Contact ASCEND@blueridgectc.edu for funding eligibility and registration details. 
  • This training is provided at no cost to eligible employers through grant funding. $199 value 
  • HR specialists and/or supervising managers in West Virginia may be able to obtain grant funding for this training by completing a simple request form.
